As we make our way through Mathew’s Gospel we’ll find it revolves around five discourses of Jesus. Today we commence the first of those blocks of teaching with the Greater Sermon ever preached, The Sermon on the Mount. As Jesus preaches we’ll condor four questions which he is addressing: What is Reality? Who is well off? Who is a truly good person? How does one become a truly good person?

We are in a new season this Sunday, Epiphany. Epiphany is a work which means “manifestation,” and in time, OUR time, that is shaped by the Bible and the Great Tradition, this season is one in which we focus on what God has “manifested” of himself through Jesus Christ-- and through Jesus the graces and gifts he “manifests” to you and me!
