The Bleeding Wounds of the Crucified God

Sunday-by-Sunday we gather to worship the risen Christ. It’s the Second Sunday in Eastertide and our heats are still full of jubilation with the wonder of Resurrection filling our minds. It is easy, though, to forget the cross in this Easter season. But without the cross there is no resurrection.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
The Lord is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

THE SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Sunday’s Readings
