Rooted & Fruitful in the Kingdom of God
We continue to look at the Sermon on the Mount and how the Indicatives of the Gospel (What the Gospel said is true about we who are in Christ) empower us to keep the Imperatives of the Gospel (those things which Christians should do).
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:20
The Last Sunday in Epiphany (Transfiguration Sunday)
O God, who before the passion of your only-begotten Son revealed his glory upon the holy mountain: Grant that we, beholding by faith the light of his countenance, may be strengthened to bear our cross, and be changed into his likeness from glory to glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Questions to Consider
How would you define reality? The good life?
What does it mean to be blessed? Do you rejoice in the Father’s face being turned toward you?
How does the blessed life described in the Sermon on the Mount give us grace to bear good fruit in the this fallen world?
